Oetz

Oetz is the prime winter sports destination of the Ötztal valley and an absolute family paradise.

It is the most family-orientated resort of the Oetztal valley. The Hochoetz ski area at 2200 m elevation can be accessed using the new 8-seater gondola lift in Oetz or the 4-seater gondola lift in Ochsengarten. With 2 gondola lifts, 4 chair lifts, 4 T-bar lifts and 34 km of slopes the ski area is real paradise for skiers and snowboarders.

The Piburgersee lake is a real gem out of nature in winter.

When frozen it is a real paradise for ice skaters and hockey players. The winter hiking paths around the lake are among the most beautiful of the Ötztal valley.

10 km of cross-country skiing tracks wind their way around the village. The level of difficulty is easy to moderate.
