Every year, millions of tourists flock to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds to visit the chambers of wonder created by the artist André Heller, a place where you will be taken away into an amazing universe of crystals like you’ve never seen it before. There you can also enjoy cultural performances like Music In The Giant or check out the numerous kiddies programs.

There are, however, many other places to see in Wattens: Austria’s only Typewriter Museum boasts more than 450 items dating back to a time before email. The Museum of Industry and Local Heritage shows the development of Wattens’ industry, and the Himmelfeld open air museum takes the visitor back to the year 500 B.C.

Wattens is also an ideal stop on the famous cycling trail along the Inn river.

Everybody who likes fairy tales should not miss the September dates of the Sagen & Märchen Fairy Tale festival.
