In July 1998 the Alpine flora nature trail was opened on the Kreujoch saddle, right in the heart of the Schlick 2000 hiking area. The trail is a magnificent round walk in southern direction - start and finish at the Kreuzjoch top terminal.
The nature trail covers an area of 1.5ha with a length of 1.5km at an altitude from 2,100m - 2,170m, where some 60 plants grow.
The Alpine flora nature trail is open during the summer season, when the cable car is in operation (June - September).
