Schwarzsee Lake is the warmest moor lake of Tirol and is located in the Kitzbühel Alps.

Schwarzsee Lake is located at Brixental road, 2km from Kitzbühel in direction Kirchberg in Tirol. The landscape is dominated by the breath-taking view of Wilder Kaiser mountain range, which reflects in the lake’s surface. In summer the water temperatures reach up to 25°C and make Schwarzsee Lake a popular bathing lake. Because of the moor content the lake is also said to have healing properties. Schwarzsee Lake offers many sports facilities: fishing, rowing, electric boats, fitness courses, walking trails. Rowing and electric boats can be rented. Two lakeside beaches are available: the municipal swimming bath and the Alpenhotel Kitzbühel lakeside beach, which is referred to as “Moigg” by locals. Both baths offer playing facilities for children, the municipal bath offers more fun facilities (slide, paddling pool). Fishing can also be pursued at Schwarzsee Lake. At the restaurant and kiosk you can quench and satisfy your thirst and hunger.
