On the four Advent weekends from November 27 through December 26, 2009, Olympiaregion Seefeld will once more host a variety of traditional Advent events.

The region’s five towns – Leutasch, Mösern, Reith bei Seefeld, Scharnitz and Seefeld – a offer a wonderful Advent program filled with crafting sessions, wind concerts, choir music, and themed hikes (e.g. torchlight hike, chapel hike, peace hike, etc.).

Whether you visit the Christmas market in the center of Seefeld or take a stroll through the peaceful winter landscape – you will love the serene atmosphere here. Highlights include the blessing of Advent wreaths, a gingerbread feast, the St, Nicholas parade and the boisterous Krampus run on Dec 7, 2009, at 7 p.m. on Seefeld’s main square.

Fri, Sat + Sun in Advent, 2 – 7 p.m.
Dec 19, 2009: until 10:30 (Christmas concert with Robin Gibb!)

Chapel Hike in Leutasch
Equipped with lanterns and accompanied by music, you will walk from chapel to chapel and learn plenty of interesting things about the region’s chapels.
Every Fri and Sat in Advent, at 5 p.m.

Nicholas Parade in Leutasch
St. Nicholas and his angels will walk through the snow-covered village at 5 p.m. The rowdy devils make their noisy appearance at 6 p.m.

The Reith Choir Association presents old Advent tunes and merry Christmas songs in Reith’s parish church.

The musical winter highlight: Robin Gibb of the "Bee Gees"!
The former lead singer of the legendary band the Bee Gees is also enjoying great success as a solo artist. This year Robin Gibb will delight the audience in Seefeld with his "Love & Lights Concert". In addition to such great hits as "Stayin’ Alive", "How deep is your love" and "Juliet" he will also perform some of his own Christmas songs!
